Lending from your closet

Star closet

The label for the most dependable closets: what it takes, and how to keep it.

On this page

Star closet is the label on the most dependable closets on Jelly. It sits on your closet and beside your name, so a renter can see at a glance that you rent, you answer and you keep your bookings.

Who can earn it

Any closet with 5 or more completed rentals. A rental counts once it is closed: returned, checked and settled. Purchases do not count, and neither does a piece that never came back or a rental that ended in a fit refund.

What it takes

Over the last 30 days, all of these:

  • At least 1 completed rental.
  • At least 80% of offers accepted. An offer you let expire counts as not accepted. An offer your own minimum accepted for you counts as accepted: you set that line.
  • Fewer than 5% of your bookings cancelled by you. A renter cancelling is not you cancelling.
  • A typical answer inside 2 hours. It is the middle of your answer times, and an offer you let expire counts as an answer that never came.

Or, for busy closets: 100 or more completed rentals, 15 or more in the last 30 days, and a rating of 4.5 or better.

Reviews do not decide it otherwise. Outside the busy-closet path, your rating plays no part.

Keeping it

It is worked out fresh every time someone looks, over a rolling 30 days. There is no month-end reset and nothing to reapply for. Have a slow month and it comes off; pick back up and it comes back on its own.

See where you stand in the app: Account → Your labels shows each number against its mark and the one thing to do next.

What it is not

A label, not a privilege. It does not change a price, a fee, a refund, a payout or a window. It describes how your closet has run.

Renters have a star too. Star renter is the same idea from the other side of a rental: at least 5 completed rentals, a 4.5 average from her lenders and a Clean record. You see it on an offer, on the order and on her profile.
