Jelly boards for what you have found, and alerts for what is not on Jelly yet.
On this page
The heart at the top of every screen opens your wishlist. It has two tabs, and each one is its own tool.
- Jelly boards: the pieces on Jelly you have saved, on My saves and the boards you make.
- Alerts: tell Jelly what you are after, and it tells you when a closet lists it.
Jelly boards
Saving a piece puts it on a board. Tap the heart on any piece, then ⊕ beside the board it belongs on (My saves is at the top), or make a New board right there. A note says where it went, with Change if you meant another board. See Jelly boards.
The number beside the heart is how many people saved the piece, each person once, however many boards they put it on. Who saved it is never shown. There is no limit on how many pieces you save or how many boards you make.
The people who saved a piece hear about it when its lender drops the price, when it's booked, when it's free again, and when it's taken down.
Alerts
An alert is a standing instruction: tell me when this is on Jelly. The quickest way to set one is the box at the top of the Alerts tab: type a brand, a piece or a few words (Pucci kaftan, black slip dress) and Jelly watches the closets for it.
Your words work the way the Shop's search does. Every word has to appear somewhere in the piece (its name, its brand, its tags or its description), though not necessarily side by side. A brand counts under any of its names (YSL finds Saint Laurent). A word never matches part of a longer one, so slip does not find slippers.
You can also set one from a search in the Shop (Save this search as an alert), from a piece (Notify me), from a photo, or by asking Mona.
What you can ask for: brands, categories, keywords, words to avoid, colours, sizes, an occasion, a price for the period, dates, neighbourhoods, a specific piece, or that piece from any closet at all.
- Test it before you save it: Jelly tells you how many pieces would match right now.
- An alert tells you as it lands. A piece can be booked by someone else within hours, so there is no once-a-day option: each notification carries up to three pieces and opens the alert. You choose push, email or both. A push that would reach you between 10pm and 8am New York time waits for the morning; the email does not.
- You are not buried. At most three notifications a day from any one alert and ten a day across all of them, spread so one noisy alert cannot crowd out the rest. A named piece you need within a fortnight is allowed past that.
- An alert lives 90 days by default, or until the day after the dates you gave it. Expired alerts stay in the list and can be started again.
- You are never told about a piece you have already booked.
- There is no limit on how many alerts you can hold.
Following a closet is its own alert, and it is the Follow button: when a closet you follow lists something in one of your sizes you get one notification (at most one per closet per day), and you can turn it off for that closet.
When nothing exists yet
